Today we celebrate our youngest little lady’s birthday, Isla Rose is ONE! Honestly, this past year was the FASTEST and at times, hardest, but most amazing year yet. Isla was born on a cold, snowy day in February, I can still remember the drive to the hospital and telling Scott, “If I’m not actually in labor, I’m going to be SO embarrassed.” Well, we got to the hospital around 11:00 am and Miss Isla joined our family at 4:25 pm, it was a fast and easy delivery. Since birth, she has been the happiest, calmest baby and we thank God for her every day!

There are SO many things we all love about Isla, she takes a bit to warm up to new people, but once that skeptical little look on her face turns to a smile, you have a new little best friend. This walking little lady loves to smile, dance (especially to baby shark), swim, splash in the bath, eat tacos and chase around her big sisters. She has six teeth, sleeps through the night (every once and a while, ha) and can’t get enough of her Pop Pop!

She is SO loved by each one of us, we can’t wait to spend the day celebrating this sweet little soul! Yesterday at her birthday party, all of her guests filled out “Wishes for Isla,” it’s my very favorite touch from the party and something we will share with her when she gets older. From my heart to yours, here are my wishes for my sweet baby girl.

I hope that you don’t take your older sisters for granted and I hope the three of you always stick together and take care of each other.

I hope that you laugh EVERYDAY and even more, I hope you find the man of your dreams to laugh with everyday, like I get to laugh with Daddy.

I hope that you learn that it’s ok to make mistakes and ask for forgiveness.

I hope that you find true happiness and always remember your way back home.
