It’s everyone’s favorite day of the week… FRIDAY! What are your plans for the weekend? We have a super quiet weekend over here, which is perfect, considering we leave for Disney ONE week from Saturday! I can definitely use the weekend to run a million errands and finish up some last minute Disney details and packing. I’m really hoping to share a full blog post next week about packing tips, but that may be a bit too ambitious!
We will be spending the rest of our weekend cheering Avery on at her soccer games and celebrating a sweet Mama to be at her baby shower. Our friends and family are having babies left and right and I am LOVING it- I can’t wait to snuggle on all of these precious new babies. I hope the sunshine finds it’s way to you this weekend, have a great one friends!
1: This Week on the Blog-
Mother’s Day 2019: Photo Journal Series
2: Five Photos From This Week- I should really call this “favorite” the evolution of Emmy and Isla’s friendship… Isla is absolutely obsessed with Emmy. Avery has always given her a ton of attention, which she also loves, but Emmy plays hard to get, which means Isla is super obsessed with her. Emmy has finally warmed up to having a little shadow follow her around and it’s one of my FAVORITES for sure!
Sneaking-in a Mama, Middle, Little lunch date with my sweet girls before summer starts!
See what I mean… I just can’t with these two!
3: Mom Style- The Perfect White Shirt– Look no further ladies, I have found the PERFECT white t-shirt, it meets all of my requirements: isn’t see-thru, not too low of a neckline, the perfect weight material, doesn’t stretch out, washes well AND is $7. See, I told you it’s the PERFECT white t-shirt and I will be ordering it in multiple colors, add this to your summer uniform.
4: Weekly Adventure: Our Trip to the Zoo- Yesterday we loaded up the little ladies and made our way to the zoo! We love having a zoo pass because it allows us to go so often, which means we don’t have to spend the entire day there to “make it worth our money.” We went specifically to see a new exhibit “Brick Safari,” which showcases animals made out of legos! Avery is VERY into legos lately and was so, so excited to go to this. We had the perfect morning walking around one of our favorite places and even made it back to the car before a big storm rolled-in, we can’t wait for more zoo days this summer!
I basically went through an ENTIRE bottle of this while at the zoo… #byegerms!
BEST friends- I love watching their friendship grow more and more everyday!
5: Essential Oil DIY: Hair Milk- This is one of my favorite essential oil DIY’s, perfect if you have dry hair, post partum hair loss, or a whole crew of little ladies that have long “mermaid” hair to brush. See the recipe below!
Step 1: In an 8 oz. glass bottle combine-
10 drops of lavender
10 drops of cedarwood
10 drops of rosemary (optional)
Step 2: Mix!
Step 3: Fill halfway with distilled water, SHAKE!
Step 4: Top off with water.
Use after showering, or on dry hair as a detangler- I also love that lavender/cedarwood are perfect oils to support bedtime, my girls hair smells so good before bed and it definitely helps us wind down for the night! A detangler free of toxins and perfect for Mama’s on a budget! Interested in learning more about Young Living essential oils?
