When you live in the midwest, you know there’s actually a 50% chance that the amount of snow the weather forecast is predicting will ACTUALLY arrive or not. Lucky for the girls, the snow did not disappoint, they suited up and headed outside to help Scott shovel the driveway before leaving for work and it made for the best morning. The girls truly are so much happier when they get to spend even a small amount of time outside, the fresh air is good for our soul.
I will say, getting them suited up has actually became a MUCH faster process, even last winter the girls needed a lot more assistance putting their snow gear on and now they can practically get dressed themselves. I’ll share our favorite snow gear at the end of this post- after seven years of dressing the little ladies up in snow gear, I feel like a certified cold weather gear professional.
1: Ombre Pom Beanie– We have a slight hat obsession over here, nothing cuter then my baby girls in snow hats
2: Snow Pants– we have these in sizes 2t- small girls & love them, they keep the girls dry while playing in the snow and have made for the best hand me downs
3: Metallic Puffer Coat and for Big Girls– I scored the girls coats on MAJOR sale at the end of the season and held on to them for two winters until they finally fit this year! They are SO warm and have held up great.
4: Side-zip Mittens– Thank you Costco for introducing us to the BEST mittens ever, the side zip allows for the girls hands to stay DRY and they stay put while they are playing in the snow!
5: Snow Boots– This is another item that we pretty much have in every size from toddler to big girl, we of course love the pink laces and they have also made for the best hand me downs.
