I am SO excited for our Christmas Tree farm family photos next weekend and couldn’t help but put together a style board of some outfit inspiration! When it comes to family photos, I love to start with one outfit or color scheme and build from there! I found the blue and green plaid dress for Avery and decided to use that as our base. I love the idea of layering a sweater over some of our favorite tutu dresses for the little girls and have had my eye on a pleated skirt for my own holiday outfits. For me, it’s all about mixing timeless pieces, while also weaving in some trendy pieces and just having a little fun with it all, because, let’s get real, the actual photo taking will be a bit of a circus 😉
Our photographer, Krissy from Bella Nicole Photography will also have a vintage truck AND a snow machine for these mini-sessions, literally what my Christmas Card photo dreams are made of, I can’t wait to share the photos with you friends!
For Scott: Top / Pants / Shoes– I have a feeling we will be wearing jackets, so I’m keeping Scott’s outfit nice and easy and something he won’t complain about wearing 😉
For Me: Sweater / Jacket / Skirt (Similar 1 & 2) / Boots– I have been eyeing a pleated skirt for the holidays and found this hunter green option for a great price!
For Avery: Jacket / Dress / Boots– Avery was in need of a new dress coat, I thought this option was super sweet and coats are also something we typically hand down, so I feel like it’s a timeless option that her little sisters can wear one day too.
For Emerson: Sweater / Dress / Coat / Booties– Emmy loves herself some leopard print and pattern mixing is just so HER, I think this outfit will suit her little personality perfectly.
For Isla: Dress / Fur Vest / Booties– Little miss will be wearing a similar plaid dress that her big sisters wore before her, but I loved the idea of layering a fur vest over it to add a little more texture.
