“Brown paper packages tied up with string… and lots of sparkly extras.” These are a few of my favorite things! When it comes to wrapping gifts, I go with the motto “more is MORE” and when in doubt, add MORE! Making your presents whimsical and sparkly is actually really easy, gather ribbon, chunky yarn, tinsel, ornaments, bells and glitter tags to add a little “extra” to your gifts this year! 

I always love browsing Target’s ornament section, they have beautiful kid friendly felt ornaments that make for the cutest gift toppers ever! Dollar Tree is another spot to stop for inexpensive gift toppers and is also where I found the cutest gold star tinsel to add to my bows! 

Another one of my favorite wrapping tips is the set of paper mache craft boxes you see in the photos. They come in a set of five and the best part is they all nest inside of each other, which makes for easy storage. You can use them for ANY holiday or occasion and YAY for sustainability, you can use them over and over! I used chunky yarn from Michael’s to tie a nice big bow and attached glittery star tags with double stick tape to add a little extra sparkle. 

Wrapping gifts is always something I look forward to and this year I’m extra proud of myself for getting a head start! I always turn on a Christmas movie, usually The Holiday, grab an eggnog latte and just channel my inner Mrs. Claus!
